After a successful sixth-place debut campaign in 2004, Michael Shank Racing is to return to the Lexus camp this weekend for Saturday's EMCO Gears Classic at Mid-Ohio.

The former open-wheel team will field a Lexus-powered Riley for Oswaldo Negri and Mark Patterson in four of the final five races of the season, increasing the complement of Lexus entries to three, alongside the two regular Chip Ganassi cars. Negri and Patterson made one start in the car earlier this year, with Negri winning pole position at Laguna Seca on the way to an eventual ninth-place finish.

Scott Pruett and Luis Diaz will once again lead the Ganassi line-up in the #01 CompUSA Riley. The duo has registered both of Lexus' 2005 race wins, and will be looking to improve upon their current second place in the point standings this weekend.

Pruett and Diaz will be joined by regular Ganassi Racing team-mates Stefan Johansson and Cort Wagner, currently fifth overall. The #02 New Century Mortgage Riley has a season-best finish of second, at Mont-Tremblant, but several of its seven top-ten finishes could have been converted into a race win with a little more luck.
