Takuma Sato came agonisingly close to winning the 2012 Indianapolis 500, but finally the former F1 driver clinched his first win in the IZOD IndyCar Series earlier this year at Long Beach. In the process he became the first-ever Japanese driver to win in the US open wheel series' 103-year history.

In this video interview, the AJ Foyt Racing driver talks about what it felt like to miss out on the Indy 500, how much the victory at Long Beach meant to him - and what he hopes for from the rest of the 2013 season.
