Reigning Infiniti Pro Series champion Mark Taylor passed his IRL IndyCar Series rookie test at the end of last week, running in an unfamiliar blue Panther Racing Dallara at Phoenix International Raceway.

The Briton, sporting a revised helmet design to mark the occasion, did 60 laps in the Menards-liveried car that he will run in 2004, as former back-to-back champion outfit Panther expands to two cars, with Taylor partnering Tomas Scheckter's Pennzoil machine.

The first pictures of Taylor in the Menards car from the test can be found in the 'latest pictures' section of the IRL channel on Crash.Net
