Two Indianapolis 500 veterans were able to kick-start their Carb Day preparations with good news, as Al Unser Jr and Greg Ray both confirmed deals with new sponsors for Sunday's race.

Representatives of the Subway chain announced that the company will serve as primary sponsor of Unser's #20 Patrick Racing Dallara-Chevrolet, while Ray unveiled Rent-A-Center, Eufora MasterCard and University Loft Co as one-race backers on his Access Motorsports entry.

"It's great to have Subway involved in the Indianapolis 500," Unser said, "We'll do everything we can to give them a good run."

Ray's G-Force-Honda - which did not run at all until the run-up to Bump Day - will carry a new paint scheme in deference to his last-gasp sponsors, and debuted the livery during final practice on Miller Lite Carb Day.

"We know our awesome Honda power, along with our G-Force chassis and Firestone tyres, will be ready to race on Sunday," Ray said, "Now we are very excited about Rent-A-Center, Eufora MasterCard and University Loft's participation with our team."
