Jack Harvey is set to join fellow Indy Lights drivers Ed Jones and Spencer Pigot at the IndyCar mid-season test in Sonoma, with the championship leader driving for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.

The test will mark his maiden outing in an IndyCar and he will be looking to impress as he hunts a full time IndyCar race seat for 2016.

"I want to give a good account of myself and show the team I'm ready and capable for a full time IndyCar ride next year," Harvey said. "The test will be the best time to prove it. This kind of opportunity is everything I have been working for since I was nine years old in go-karting."

Harvey currently heads the Indy Lights series standings by six points from Pigot with just the double header season finale remaining at Laguna Seca in September.

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports team owner Sam Schmidt says he is delighted to welcome the British driver to his team and has set him the goal of claiming the Indy Lights title which would lead to a scholarship and a move into IndyCar in some capacity in 2016.
