Having carried the HVM team to its first top five finish of the season last time out in Denver, Rodolfo Lavin will be hoping to secure another strong result in his third race for the team at Montreal this weekend.

Lavin, who was brought into the team mid-season to replace Ronnie Bremer, will also be looking for an improvement on his past performances at the Canadian venue, with a best finish of eleventh from his two previous visits to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

"I like the circuit and Montreal is a great city," he said. "The track has a very long straight; we will hit 180 or more so that is very exciting. The track can be a bit slippery, especially in the braking zones and when getting the power down exiting the hairpin. It is important to be gentle with the throttle, but you need to get a good exit out of that hairpin because it leads you to the straight, which is the best passing zone.

"I am very happy to be returning to Montreal, we had a good result in Denver and we look forward to carrying the momentum and improve our results. HVM had a very good car there last year and I am sure we will this year as well. I am looking forward to a strong result for my team HVM, and my sponsor Corona."
