Creation Autosportif has finally got its hands on the car it hopes will provide international racing success in 2004, having taken possession of the DBA4-03S sports prototype previously run by Danish veteran John Nielsen.

The LMP675 chassis has been added to the team's growing sportscar stable, which already includes the two Lister Storms campaigned in the 2003 FIA GT Championship, and a Ligier prototype that saw regular action in the 1970s.

The DBA4 was originally conceived from the less-than-successful 2KQ by chassis-builder Reynard early last year, and first saw the light of day as the 02S, but passed on to IRM when the Bicester-based company went under. To date, only one DBA4-03S has been built, and has campaigned by Nielsen in various competitions, including the Le Mans 24 Hours, over the last year-and-a-half.

According to the team's official website, Creation intends to further develop the car, which will run in the inaugural LMES in 2004. If it shows promise in the early 1000km events, and on a possible Sebring 12Hrs outing, a late entry at Le Mans is not being ruled out.
