After sitting out most of the 2005 season, Rick Pearson will return to action in the Le Mans Endurance Series this weekend for the final round of the year at the Istanbul Park circuit.

Pearson finished third overall in the LMP2 standings last season while partnering John Ingram and John Gaw in the Tracsport line-up - taking a podium finishes at the Nurburgring (on the teams debut) and a strong fourth at Spa as the British team punched above its weight with the the Lola B2k/40.

However, Pearson found himself without a drive for the 2005 season but will now join regulars Richard Stanton and John Hartshorne in the GT2 class TVR T400R of Racesport Peninsula for the final event of the year and he admitted he couldn't wait to get back behind the wheel.

"I've been trying to put the deal together all season and it's finally come right at the last minute," he said. "I'm looking forward to working with the team and can't wait to see the new circuit. The TVR is a great, reliable car which always performs well.

"The LMES is a great championship which regularly produces some of the best endurance racing in the world. I was delighted with third overall last year and will be looking to build on that experience in Turkey."
