Lister has confirmed that it is to enter a full season in the Le Mans Series in 2006 with its LMP1 hybrid and has also lodged an application to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

Andrea Belicchi and Stefano Zonca - who shared driving duties in the LMP1 hybrid at Vallelunga in November - will step up from the Lister Storm GT they campaigned in the Italian Championship after impressing Lister Storm Racing team boss Laurence Pearce and the pair will be joined at the wheel by Danish driver Jens Moller.

The LMP1 hybrid has been further developed over the winter with revised front end aerodynamics tested at Snetterton earlier this week with 'excellent' results. More testing will follow before the official Le Mans Series test at Paul Ricard.
