The Le Mans Series has revealed its list of full season entries for the 2009 season, which will not include the factory Peugeot team.

The French manufacturer has yet to confirm its official plans for season ahead and will enter the LMS on a race-by-race basis, with its programme for 2009 set to be officially confirmed next month.

The 49 car full season entry features twelve cars in LMP1, 16 in LMP2, four in GT1 and 17 in GT2 - with a mix of new and returning teams.

The big news in LMP1 is the announcement that Aston Martin Racing will move up to prototype racing this season with a two-car team, where it will go up against the likes of Courage, Pescarolo and the new Audi privateer team run by Colin Kolles. The Speedy Racing team will move up to LMP1 with a single car, while Signature Plus has also lodged a single entry. Team LNT and Strakka Racing will represent the Ginetta brand during the season ahead.

In LMP2, series regulars like RML and Barazi Epsilon return, as does Saulnier Racing - albeit now under the name of Oak Racing. Trading Performance also has a new name after being rebranded as GAC Racing team. The only new additions to the LMP2 class will be Bull Racing and Pegasus Racing for the 2009 campaign.

With Team Modena and Luc Alphand Aventures running elsewhere, the GT1 field takes on a new look although only four cars are entered for the year ahead. IPB Spartak Racing returns with its Lamborghini Murcielago, while ARC Bratislava and Full Speed Racing will both run Saleen S7-Rs. Noel del Bello Racing will run a Ferrari 550 Maranello.

Most of the regular outfits return to GT2, although there are some interesting additions. Team Modena moves to GT2 with a Ferrari 430, while defending champion Rob Bell will run with the new JMW Motorsport team. Drayson Racing will join the field with an Aston Martin Vantage V8, while Lamborghini are also represented by the Reiter Engineering team.
