ByKolles Racing has confirmed its commitment to the new World Endurance Championship Hypercar rules, which will be introduced for the 2020/2021 season, and will cut back its 2019/20 season entry in preparation.

With the 2020/2021 WEC Hypercar rules set to be announced at Le Mans this week, ByKolles Racing has announced it will produce its own road-legal Supercar to meet the new regulations.

But with “all engineering and production resources by ByKolles” set to focus on the new rules, the team will only take part in select 2019/202 WEC events including next year’s Le Mans 24 Hours.

The team has also confirmed its current ByKolles Enso LMP1 project will continue to be run both next season at the European WEC rounds and in 2020/2021, effectively expanding its efforts in the championship to a two-car entry.

ByKolles Racing is set to take part in the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours this weekend after qualifying eighth for this year’s iconic endurance event.
