Ricky Carmichael's four-wheel career continues apace with the news that the most successful AMA motocross racer is history will have an opportunity to prove himself in NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series in 2009.

Carmichael, winner of 150 races and 15 championships (five Supercross and ten Motocross titles), will drive a second truck for Kevin Harvick Inc., starting with the season-opening race February 13 at Daytona International Speedway, Harvick announced Tuesday.

With sponsorship from Monster Energy, Carmichael will compete in at least 14 of the 25 truck series races in addition to the season-opening ARCA race Feb. 7 at Daytona.

Carmichael competed in NASCAR's Camping World East regional touring series in 2008 and finished sixth in the final standings.
