Aleix Espargaro has suffered "a micro-fracture to the femur and an injury to the left tibia".

"I'm relieved since the medical check-up showed a better situation than we had initially expected," Espargaro said. "In any case, I'm sorry to have missed this day of test.

"My goal is to begin recovery as soon as possible and speed up my return to the saddle, compatible with the feedback from the doctors. They told me that in a couple days I’ll be able to get back to cycling and I’m counting down the hours."

Rins - who admitted he expected to fight for victory on Sunday, but suffered from an overheating front tyre in Petrucci's slipstream (he couldn't leave the slipstream due to a lack of top speed) - said he would try the new Michelins this afternoon. Crutchlow plans to stick with the normal tyres.

17 June, 2019 - 13:39

Alex Rins said the new Suzuki chassis is not a clear advantage over the standard version, hoping that some future aero parts could help with the top speed issue.

Crutchlow said he's been trying lots of small things on the bike, his priority is 50-50 front end feel and trying to make the bike less physical to ride as far as cornering and change of direction.
