Repsol Honda MotoGP riders Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso have been testing several chassis options for the 2011 factory RC212V.

However, they have not all been testing the same variations, and only two of them have decided which chassis specification they will race with. asked for confirmation from the Repsol Honda Team on who has been testing what and which riders have made a final chassis decision. That list can be seen below.

The list confirms that Stoner - fastest on all three-days of last week's Sepang MotoGP test - and Dovizioso have been testing two versions of the 2011 chassis: One 'standard' (stiffer) and one 'modified' version.

Deciding between them was difficult because each had its own strengths and weaknesses, and both gave a very similar lap time. Nevertheless, Stoner and Dovizioso have now both chosen to start the season with the standard 2011 chassis.

Pedrosa is yet to decide, and has a slightly different decision to make since he has continued to use last year's chassis alongside a 'new' 2011 chassis. Pedrosa has called this 'modified' but Repsol Honda said that this new chassis is the standard 2011 option.

"With the chassis we are still not clear, but I think it's better to check at another track," said Pedrosa at the end of last week's Sepang test. "The Qatar test will not be as warm as here, because of the night time, so it will be good to get a feeling for both."

Honda has said it will develop whichever chassis options are chosen by the riders.

The Qatar test, the third and final 2011 pre-season test, will be held from March 13-14.

Honda riders were fastest over all six days at Sepang, with Repsol riders leading five of the six days.
