Nico Terol, who has led every 125cc track session since warm-up for round two at Jerez, continued his stunning run by topping both of Friday's free practice sessions for round for at Le Mans.

The Aspar Aprilia rider, winner of all three races so far this year, bumped Efren Vasquez from the top in the final minute - then improved his advantage to 0.584sec on his last lap.

The day then got worse for Vasquez - who has taken 4th-9th-6th race finishes this year - when he crashed from his Ajo Derbi, although he remained second by 0.010sec over Sandro Cortese.

Terol's under pressure team-mate Hector Faubel was the final rider within one-second of the top, while home star Johann Zarco - on the podium at the last two rounds - finished day one in eighth position on the second Ajo Derbi machine.
