125cc World Championship leader Nico Terol took his fourth pole of the season during qualifying for round five in Catalunya on Saturday.

The home Spanish star - whose perfect start to 2011 ended when he was overtaken by rookie Maverick Vinales at the final turn of the previous French Grand Prix - first hit the front midway through the 40-minute session.

Aspar Aprilia team-mate Hector Faubel knocked Terol from pole with three-minutes remaining, but Terol snatched the position back by 0.402sec. Paris Hilton Racing star Vinales will complete the front row in third, albeit 0.818sec from pole.

Johann Zarco led in the early stages before being pushed back to fourth place. The Ajo Derbi rider was the final person within one second of Terol.
