The MotoGP season is over and with it the end of the 800cc era. Casey Stoner has been crowned world champion for a second time, during his first season at Repsol Honda, despite stubborn resistance from Yamaha's defending champion Jorge Lorenzo.

Stoner's team-mates Andrea Dovizioso finished third and fourth, with Lorenzo's team-mate Ben Spies a first-time race winner on his way to fifth, ahead of the much-missed Marco Simoncelli.

Valentino Rossi ended his first Ducati season equal with Simoncelli on points, but with only one podium compared with two for the late Gresini Honda star, dropping Rossi to seventh.

Rossi's factory Ducati team-mate Nicky Hayden, Monster Yamaha Tech 3's Colin Edwards - the top satellite bike rider - and Gresini's Hiroshi Aoyama completed the championship top ten.

But riders aren't just judged on where they cross the finish line - factors such as their machinery, performance relative to team-mates and injuries all need to be taken into account.

The ability to communicate with fans and promote the sport to a wider audience is also part of being a 21st century motorsport star.

With that in mind, it's time for you to tell us your verdict on MotoGP's class of 2011, by giving all 17 full-time riders (shown in alphabetical order) a mark out of ten, so we can rank them according to your ratings.
