A signed helmet used by Sauber F1 driver Kamui Kobayashi has raised $19,000 in a charity auction to raise money for those suffering in the aftermath of last year's Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

That figure highlights the generosity of MotoGP star Ben Spies in providing a signed 2011 race-day helmet for the person that provides the largest donation to the Charlie Moody Foundation.

Spies will also provide two paddock passes for donor to attend the 2012 Silverstone MotoGP round, to receive the helmet from him, while all those that donate will be in with a chance of receiving a signed replica Spies helmet and a set of BSB rider's Graham Gowland's leathers.

Donations to help a great cause, which automatically puts you in with a chance of winning these great items, can be made by visiting www.justgiving.com/Charlie-William-Moody
