Quickest during the opening official Moto3 test of the year at Valencia, the pre-season advantage moved from Niccolo Antonelli to Jack Miller during this week's Jerez test.

Antonelli, whose form has been transformed by the Gresini Go&Fun team's switch from FTR-Honda to KTM, edged out new factory Red Bull KTM signing Miller by just 0.008s at Valencia.

But the Australian ruled all three days at Jerez, finishing 0.210s ahead of nearest rival Jakub Kornfeil (Calvo KTM) with Antonelli 0.406s adrift in third.

Antonelli, who will turn 18 on Sunday, was pleased with his performance - given he suffered technical problems on the final day - but also concerned by Miller's form.

"After three tests in three different circuits, now we go home happy!" said the Italian. "Despite a problem with the bike that kept us in the garage for most of the [final] day: in the few laps left I managed to get the third best lap time, thanks to the excellent work done yesterday on the bike.

"Here in Jerez we were competitive, although we struggled a little more than Valencia: Miller is very strong, over these three days we closed a little the gap from him, but not enough, so the goal for the next test in March is to try and stay with him."
