NGM Forward Racing has reached an agreement with Kalex for the supply of its official chassis for the remainder of the 2014 Moto2 season.

The team has been using modified versions of the 2013 Kalex chassis under the 'Forward KLX' moniker. However, following a positive start to the season with Simone Corsi currently fifth in the Championship, Corsi and team-mate Mattia Pasini will now have the latest official frames from this weekend at Le Mans.

"It's a pleasure to announce that we have reached an agreement with Kalex," said Forward managing director Marco Curioni. "They have extended the numbers of teams supplied in terms of material, so we will be able to use their material during the season.

"We are very satisfied to have the opportunity to count Kalex among our partners to have competitive material for our riders. This represents an important step forward and this allows us to focus even more on the MotoGP project."

Forward had originally planned to use an FTR chassis for both Moto2 and its Yamaha-powered MotoGP project, where the team continues to work on creating a chassis for 2015. Forward currently uses a Yamaha engine, frame and swingarm in MotoGP, but the chassis assistance is only for this year.
