It has been confirmed that Kawasaki have entered Akira Yanagawa as a wild-card rider in their home event, the Gauloises Pacific Grand Prix of Motegi, on October 6th.
It will mark Kawasaki's first start in MotoGP this season - on the all-new ZX-RR four-stroke - prior to the Japanese company's full season entry in 2003.
The team have been developing their machine in this years All-Japan Superbike Championship, and will face the fellow four-strokes of Honda, Yamaha and Aprilia at Motegi.
Yanagawa will be joined by the following wild card riders:
