Having sent the official bikes to Japan, for the first Grand Prix of the season at Suzuka, the Ducati Marlboro Team continued with the Desmosedici's development schedule with two days at Mugello with factory test rider Vittoriano Guareschi [pictured].

In front of the technical staff - led by Ducati Corse's Technical Director, Filippo Preziosi - Guareschi completed a series of important tests, alternating between the two available development bikes and testing several different rear suspension set-ups.

Guareschi completed 90 laps during the intensive session, with the only 'blip' being a small crash on the first day at the entry to the "Arrabbiata 1" curve.

On Thursday, the Ducati Marlboro Team will leave for Suzuka where, on Sunday and Monday, race riders Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss will have the opportunity to test on the GP circuit, which is completely new for both the Desmosedici and former WSBK star Bayliss.
