British Superbike Champion Shane 'Shakey' Byrne was present at Valencia yesterday (Friday) to discuss a MotoGP move with Aprilia.
Despite reports to the contrary, Byrne - who turned heads by dominating the Brands Hatch World Superbike round (pictured), riding as a wild-card on a Monstermob Ducati - stated he has not yet signed for Carl Fogarty's World Superbike outfit, and is currently weighing up his 2004 options.
Aprilia have already announced that both current riders - Colin Edwards and Noriyuki Haga - will leave the team at the end of the year.
Edwards qualified an excellent seventh today in his final qualifying session on the three-cylinder RS Cube.
