Moriwaki Racing will enter former Kawasaki rider Andrew Pitt in a total of five MotoGP events this season, beginning at round four at the Italian Grand Prix.

Former World Supersport champion Pitt signed to ride the RCV powered Moriwaki MD211VF after losing his team green seat at the end of the 2003 season.

The Australian was reportedly impressed with the machine during pre-season testing, but will now face the full MotoGP field for the first time this season on June 6 at Mugello.

Pitt's further four events will be round five (Catalan Grand Prix), round ten (Czech Grand Prix), round fourteen (Malaysian Grand Prix) and round fifteen (Australian Grand Prix).
