British teenager Chaz Davies faces a vital second half of the 250cc World Championship season as he strives to secure a factory ride for next year.

The Herefordshire rider finished a brilliant eighth last year riding the Aprilia Germany machine and a repeat of that result would be the perfect start to a hectic couple of months.

"This second half of the season is when it really counts and I'm looking forward to it, starting at Brno which is one of the best tracks in the world," said Chaz.

"It's interesting, wide and safe and I had a good result there last year. I eventually finished eighth in the dry and wet race after a good qualifying session in the wet.

"I've not done much over the break apart from training hard on Supermoto, Motocross and push bikes. My injuries have cleared up and I'm ready for it," he added.
