This is the special livery with which Ducati Marlboro Team riders Sete Gibernau and Loris Capirossi rode in Sunday's Italian Grand Prix at Mugello.

The pair qualified first and second on the grid for Ducati's home race, with their usually Marlboro backed Desmosedicis then painted a 'patriotic' red, silver and green overnight - to celebrate three anniversaries: Ducati's 80th birthday, the 60th anniversary of the company starting motorcycle production and the 50th anniversary of its first use of the desmodromic valve system.

Gibernau battled Valentino Rossi for the lead throughout much of Sunday's race, but it was Capirossi who ultimately got closest to victory - finishing just 0.575secs behind the Yamaha rider at the chequered flag, after fighting his way back from a poor start.
