Team boss Luis d'Antin and Paolo Campinoti of title sponsor Pramac have signed an agreement which will see the d'Antin MotoGP team become an integral part of the Pramac Group.

The new strategy is designed to strengthen the working relationship between the two parties and push the team up the MotoGP grid next season, when they will field multiple GP winner Alex Barros, plus another to be announced rider, on new 800cc Ducati machinery and Bridgestone tyres.

"Our team is ready for an important evolution," explained team owner d'Antin. "I believe that the new Pramac d'Antin team will achieve important objectives thanks to the winning philosophy the Pramac Group will bring. The team will be structured to compete at the highest level, and will be diversified for this new and different approach to our motorcycle racing competition."

"We have a lot of faith in this project, and we have always put forth our best efforts and strong desire to succeed," added Campinoti. "The Pramac d'Antin team will be supported by the new Racing Division within the Pramac Group, created expressly to satisfy the needs of the team, of its sponsors, and the media.

"We will put at the team's disposal the experience of a group of persons who work with great passion and enthusiasm, along with all the technology and strength that characterise the Pramac Group. We trust in the team we are creating, and we are confident that this program, designed for longterm viability, will bring the same mentality to win which allowed Pramac to become a solid, dynamic, competitive, and global group. Our company's values and the spirit of working together in harmony are ideally suited for the top level of motorcycle competition.

"The Pramac d'Antin team will be able to start the new era with the necessary energy and capacity to achieve its objectives. The strategy of the company is to serve the team," he concluded.

Alex Hofmann and Jose Luis Cardoso currently race for the Pramac d'Antin Team.
