Aleix Espargaro has been discharged from hospital in Chemnitz, where he had been since rib injuries in a big warm-up highside at the German MotoGP.

The Aprilia rider was transferred to the Deixeus Quiron Clinic in Barcelona, where Dr. Angel Charte conducted an 'exaustive check, at the end of which Espargaro was discharged with the prescription of five days off'.

Espargaro will now focus on being fit to return at the first event after the summer break, the Czech Republic round at Brno, on the first weekend in August.

The Spaniard will need to pass a medical to take part, but Aprilia is confident he will be fit.

Espargaro's planned grid penalty at Sachsenring, for obstructing Marc Marquez in practice, will not be carried over.
