Hello and welcome to the second blog from the Formula 1000 Club here on Crash.net.

Since the last posting a couple of weeks ago, there has been a couple of exciting developments for the Junior championship.

To begin with, John Goff of rallyschool.co.uk has joined up with the Junior series to provide driver support, allowing them to make full use of his vast experience. Rallyschool.co.uk will now feature on all the competing Junior cars through the addition of rear-window banners on all cars. The club wishes to extend its thanks to John for continued support, which has seen Formula 1000 using the venue for training days and PCA's over the last twelve months.

As I mentioned in the first column, the Juniors were set to undertake their Formula 1000 club test on the 16th of February. I am pleased to report that these tests went well and, now, all the juniors have passed their test and are ready and raring to go! The test itself was harder than first imagined however, this meant that the Juniors were required to study, properly, the Blue Book (a book outlining all the regulations for Motorsport by the MSA) to understand fully the regulations which will apply to them during the year.

Despite a slow start, everyone achieved good marks and impressed with their driving, clearly showing good control and judge of speed. This is a testament to the hard work the committee has put into securing training days for the Juniors throughout the last twelve months. Look out for further training dates during this year!
