Scottish driver John Bogie will try to make it three titles in a row in the Jack Frost Stages Rally at Croft on 17 January.

Bogie, who will have son David as his co-driver, will be driving his MG Metro 6R4 in the event which takes place on the tarmac roads around the North East circuit.

The rally comprises qualifying rounds of the North East of England Tarmac Championship and the Kent Cams ANCC Stage Rally Championship and will take place over eight stages, at least one of which will be run in the dark.

Darlington and District Motor Club have attracted a strong field for the event including brothers Stuart and John Adamson in their Metro 6R4, 2001 winner Dave Holland in a mark one Ford Escort and Steve Simpson in his Subaru Impreza.

In the two wheel drive section, the Peugeot 106 of the Lindsey brothers against the Harkness brethren in their Corsa is expected to be one of the major battles for honours although Keith Davison and co driver Ian Jackson will be a major threat in their Darrian, as will Terry Searle in his Rover 25.
