Former Junior WRC competitor Olly Marshall enjoyed a successful outing on Rallye Sunseeker as he narrowly missed out on a top 20 finish in the event.

Driving a ProSpeed Motorsport Skoda Octavia WRC, Marshall overcame a puncture on stage five and a precautionary propshaft change to make the finish of the rally alongside his co-driver, ITV WRC reporter Jon Desborough.

"The car was absolutely perfect and towards the end I was really starting to enjoy it. Or at least I think I was!" Marshall said. "Jon did really well considering he has never been in a WRC before and despite a couple of minor problems we have really enjoyed it."

Desborough himself was delighted to have finished his first event in a World Rally Car and offered advice to anyone watching on.

"Everyone has to do a rally in one of those," he said, "and with him driving it!"
