Regulations for the 2008 Malton Forest Rally on Sunday 2 November are now available with space for an entry of 90 cars.

The sixth running of the event will once again be sponsored by Mellors Elliott Motorsport/Aero Maintenance but will see several changes to the stages this year.

The rally will comprise of 45 miles over eight stages and will use the classic forests of Langdale, Cropton and Gale Rigg as well as hosting the mile long spectator special stage at Pickering Showground. The Langdale test is a new addition to this year's event and will provide around nine miles of competitive action.

The Malton Forest Rally, organised by Malton Motor Club and Selby & DMC, has been added to the VK Fiesta Sporting Trophy and the Motoscope Northern Historic Championship calendars this year and is also a round of the Pirelli ANCRO Rally Challenge, the SG Petch ANECCC, Kent Cams ANCC, EMAMC and ANEMMC championships.

There will also be the Motoscope Rally Equipment award for the highest finishing two-wheel drive Ford Escort Mk1 or Mk2.

Scrutineering, documentation, main service and the start/finish will take place at the regular accessible venue of Pickering Showground with the compact event consisting of 100 road miles with management service opportunities as well as the main service. Pacenotes are available via Pattersons and Rallitrak safety radios will also be introduced this year.
