Witham-based rally driver Becky Kirvan will make her return to the rally stages this coming Saturday when she contests the Cambrian rally in North Wales.

Becky will compete on the event in her VW Polo with Hull's Tim Rodgers co-driving. It will be her first rally since the Lookout Stages in April, where she finished 40th overall on what was her debut event in the Polo.

"It's been a while since I contested a rally and it's over a year since I drove on a forest event," she said.

"My co-driver works as a rally driving instructor so hopefully he will give me some tips!

"He used the Polo on the recent Plains rally and he was leading his class until a mechanical problem a mile from the finish.

"I'm not expecting to be quite as quick but hopefully I'll be competitive. I can't wait to get back out on the stages! I'd like to thank Spectrum, Songasport and Chris at Peart Autos for their support."

The Llandudno-based rally is the final round of the BTRDA championship and it will be contested over 45 miles of gravel tracks in the Penmachno and Clocaenog forests.
