The final event in the Silverstone Tyres BRC Challenge will see a return to the Suzuki South of England Tempest 2 Rally in Aldershot, the scene of a titanic scrap for the 2007 title.

The battle this year however will be for event honours, as David Harrison and Glyn Thomas sealed their place at the top of the series leaderboard on Rally Yorkshire in September.

The young Manxman may have won the championship and with it a fully funded drive on Wales Rally GB, but he only needed a finish in the Yorkshire forests, so drove accordingly. The run for the line this time will be a no holds barred affair, with Harrison and Richard Sykes pushing each other all the way. Simon Taylor joins Sykes in the Fiesta again, the pair hoping that the transmission woes that cost any chance of the title are now behind them.

James Watts and Oliver Ettlinger join the fray in their Polo in the Hampshire forests and woodland, hoping to push their Polo to its limits and finish well on this unique event. Watts is also keen to hold onto his second place in the Championship, a position that Sykes could snatch if he has problems.

The rally is split into two sections, the Tempest 2 being solely for two wheel drive cars, while criss-crossing stages at different times is the Rally 4 event for four wheel drive cars. The concept worked well in 2007 and meant that each event had a chance to run first on the soft sandy stages.

A central service area at the Rushmoor Arena, close to the centre of Aldershot, gives excellent viewing of the teams at work as well as one of the stages, meaning there is no reason to miss the action.

The rally will also see 2007 Silverstone Champion Luke Pinder in action. Seeded one place ahead of Sykes, he will swap seats and co-drive in the Puma that he has campaigned in the British Rally Championship, on which free entries are part of the BRCC prize.

The whole event takes place on Saturday November 8th, starting from Pegasus Village in the Rushmoor Arena complex at 9am, a floodlit finish ceremony taking place at just after 5pm.
