Guy Wilks has once again been excluded from the results of the Trackrod Rally following a protest hearing held by the stewards of the event.

Wilks was excluded from the result due to a technical infringement on his Mitsubishi having secured victory on the event.

That handed victory to rival Mark Higgins only for Wilks to then be reinstated after the protest lodged by the Atlas TEG Sport team was thrown out.

However, a further statement issued by clerk of the course Rod Parkin has now revealed that a meeting of event stewards has elected to throw Wilks out of the results - although MSA appeals mean the result is still very much provisional.

"To all International competitors," the statement read. "The stewards of he Meeting convened a protest hearing on Thursday 30 October. After hearing all parties their decision was to exclude Car 1 (Guy Wilks/ David Moynihan) from the results of the 2008 Rally Yorkshire.

"Accordingly I am now re-issuing the results, excluding Car 1.

"I understand that two appeals have been made to the MSA. Thus these revised results REMAIN PROVISIONAL until the outcome of the appeal process is complete."

It means Mark Higgins is now once again the provisional event winner, with David Higgins and Gwyndaf Evans second and third amongst those eligible for BRC points.
