Peter Hickman enhanced his glowing reputation at the international road races by winning the second Superbike race at the Ulster GP in damp conditions.

It was an incredible achievement by the Louth man, who was making only his second ever appearance at the fastest road race in the world around the legendary Dundrod circuit near Belfast.

Riding the Briggs Equipment BMW, Hickman held off a determined challenge from Honda Racing's Conor Cummins and local hero Michael Dunlop to clinch the honours, sealing his maiden triumph in the feature class at one of the 'big three' international events.

He also went close in the Superstock race, pushing hat-trick winner Lee Johnston all the way before settling for an exceptional runner-up finish on the S1000RR. Hickman also impressed with sixth and seventh places in the Supersport races respectively on the Trooper MV Agusta.

At the Isle of Man TT, Hickman turned heads once more, building on his 2014 tag as the fastest newcomer in the history of the event to boost his best lap time to a stunning 131.626mph in only his second year as he finished seventh in the flagship Senior TT.

He achieved his best TT result with fifth in the Superstock race and will return to the Isle of Man in 2016 with a live chance of challenging for the rostrum places and possibly his maiden victory at the greatest road race in the world.

The British Superbike contender defied the odds in November to win the Macau Grand Prix one year on from his debut in the Far East, overhauling Martin Jessopp to bring a sensational season to an end.

The 28-year-old, who missed the North West 200 at the beginning of the season through injury, has signed for the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team to ride the new ZX-10R in 2016 and looks poised to be in the frame for more international glory as he continues to hone his skills between the hedges.
