Home skipper Sean Wilson has been installed as the favourite to win the Premier League Riders' Championship at Sheffield on Sunday September 28 (6pm). Wilson, who has won the title at Owlerton before, currently has odds of 3/1 by his name according to bookmakers William Hill.

Reigning champion Adam Shields is second favourite on 4/1 with former winner Carl Stonehewer now at 9/2. The odds are interesting for two riders who made stunning Owlerton debuts this season.

Arena Essex man Jonas Kylmakoorpi top scored for the Hammers with 14+1 in their narrow defeat against Sheffield in July and he is quoted at 12/1. And Matej Zagar, who scored 13 for Trelawny earlier this month at Owlerton, is available at 14/1. Zagar beat favourite Wilson in Heat 15 of that meeting.

Sheffield co-promoter and British Speedway management committee member Neil Machin said: "These are very attractive odds and should generate much interest across the whole of the Premier League. Owlerton Stadium will be operational from 4pm on the day of the meeting."
