The Edinburgh Monarchs will be trying to overcome a 5-point deficit from the first leg when they race the 2002 Elite League champions Wolverhampton at Armadale on Friday. This is the quarter final of the British League Cup, and the first leg was raced at Wolverhampton on Monday.

Wolves' include in their side Grand Prix star Mikael Max, former World Champion Sam Ermolenko and England International David Howe.

There is good news on Monarchs' Swede Magnus Karlsson who hurt his right knee in a crash on Monday. In spite of initial fears nothing is broken, and Magnus was considering riding in Sweden on Wednesday evening. He is very keen to be in Monarchs' lineup on Friday in front of his parents who are coming over for a holiday.
