Poole appear to be strong favourites to be crowned Elite League champions after grinding out a one point win at Coventry in the first leg last night. They'll hope to successful defend that point in the second leg on home shale this coming Monday.

But Pirates' cautious boss Neil Middleditch isn't taking it for granted though. Hesaid: "We still have a job to do on our own track, but I have to be pleased to win away." Former Pirate Mark Loram returns to the Poole side for the second leg as a guest replacement for the injured Lukas Dryml.

Meanwhile Coventry are refusing to give up hope. Bees' Boss Colin Pratt said: "It's not over yet. I'm sure all the boys will go down to Poole and give it their best, just as they have done all season."
