Three of the top five riders in last weekend's Premier League Riders Championship will now be appearing at Hull this Friday, 3 October. Billy Hamill is confirmed as the third former World Champion in the line-up for Hull's Triangle Trophy season closer.

Hamill, World Champion in 1996, joins Gary Havelock (1992) and Sam Ermolenko (1993) in a star-studded line-up of some of the best speedway riders in the UK today.

Carl Stonehewer will be joining Sean Wilson and Hull's own Gary Stead in the "Triangle Trophy" which is the last home meeting in Hull's 2003 speedway season - and it is promising to be a star-studded event.

New Champion Sean Wilson was already booked to appear. His spectacular win on Sunday confirmed that he is one of the top riders in the Premier League.

Carl Stonehewer was also in that Championship Final. The former Grand Prix rider called on all his experience to put in a great performance to finish third in the overall standings.

Hull captain Garry Stead answered his critics with a fine run to fifth place. Denied a place in the final by the narrowest of margins, Garry rode well above his average to confirm that he is always up for the big occasions.
From Scandinavia comes one of Edinburgh Monarch's former heat leaders, Robert Eriksson (Sweden) and Newcastle Diamond Christian Lund (Denmark).

Then there are former Vikings Neil Collins (Belle Vue) and Lee Dicken (Newcastle), together with young Swede Jimmy Jansson (Nyk?ping) and Lee Smethills (Exeter).

Regular Hull Vikings Paul Thorp, Gary Stead, Shaun Tacey, Simon Cartwright and Barrie Evans naturally appear, and youngsters Sebastian Ald?n (Sweden) and Danny Norton (Peterborough) round off the field.

With some additional attractions, the whole evening should be one for fans to remember through the coming winter months. There hasn't been a line-up like this at Craven Park in years, so anyone with an interest in Speedway should make sure they are present for tapes-up at 7:30pm this Friday, 3 October.

Before that, Hull speedway fans have one extra chance to see their favourite team in action, as the Vikings have accepted a last minute challenge from Kings Lynn.

They will appear in a three-team tournament against both the Kings Lynn Stars and Swindon Robins at Kings Lynn this Wednesday, 1 October. The Hull team will be Garry Stead, Paul Thorp, Shaun Tacey, Simon Cartwright, Barrie Evans, John Oliver. The match starts at Kings Lynn at 7:30pm, Wednesday 1 October.
