Cup holders Sheffield aim to overhaul a five-point deficit from the first leg when they face a powerful Isle of Wight side in the final at Owlerton on Thursday. Stoke's Paul Pickering is a guest replacement for injured Islanders skipper Ray Morton and only a fortnight ago he reeled off an immaculate four-ride maximum when guesting for Tigers.

And in Danny Bird and Adam Shields they have riders more than capable of matching Sheffield's big guns. Ross Brady remains an injury doubt for Sheffield with damaged shoulder
ligaments and if he fails a fitness test they will have to operate the rider replacement facility which means Andrew Moore, James Birkinshaw and Richard Hall would share his
programmed rides.

Rye House Rocket Brent Werner is the guest replacement for injured Tigers vice-ckipper Andre Compton. Tigers co-promoter Neil Machin said: "This tie could go right to the last race because the Islanders can ride our place well."
