The draw for the 2004 Premier League Knockout Cup has been made throwing up some interesting ties - all of which will be raced over the traditional two legs.

Curent cup holders the Isle of Wight begin their defence against Kings Lynn whilst the team they bested in the 2003 final, Sheffield, have the long trip to Trelawny to look forward to if the JAG Tigers take to the track in 2004 given the loss of the Moto Parc.

Other long distance first round travellers are Reading (to Glasgow) and Newcastle (to Rye House) while Exeter's tie with Newport is almost a local derby by comparison.

The full draw for rounds one and two is:

First round
Stoke v Somerset
Trelawny v Sheffield
Edinburgh v Workington
Reading v Glasgow
Berwick v Hull
Isle of Wight v Kings Lynn
Exeter v Newport
Newcastle v Rye House

Second round
Newcastle or Rye House v Isle of Wight or Kings Lynn
Stoke or Somerset v Edinburgh or Workington
Reading or Glasgow v Berwick or Hull
Newport or Exeter v Trelawny or Sheffield
