Benfield Sports International (BSI) has agreed a four year deal with Swedish chemical products company VEIDEC to be Elite sponsors of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix Series (SGP).

As well as Elite sponsors, VEIDEC will be title sponsor of the 2004 FIM Swedish Grand Prix with an option to take one title sponsorship in the following three seasons.

Commenting on the deal, Rickard P?lsson, Managing Director, VEIDEC, said: "Speedway is currently one of the fastest growing sports in Europe and we're delighted to be associated with the world championship Series during this exciting time. This deal strengthens our profile in the core Scandinavian markets of Sweden, Denmark, and Norway and is also the perfect vehicle to build our brand in the Eastern Europe markets - particularly Slovenia and the Czech Republic. It's a welcome addition to our motorsport sponsorship portfolio."

John Postlethwaite, Chief Executive, Benfield Sports International, said: "VEIDEC has realised the benefits of using the sponsorship of the SGP Series to penetrate new business markets across Europe. This four year commitment shows their understanding and shared belief with BSI of the growth potential of the Series and the benefits this association brings. "
