The Oxford Silver Machine kick started their season again last night with a terrific win over the Eagles of Eastbourne at Sandy Lane last night.

The match was evenly balanced for the first three heats before the Eagles took an early advantage. The Silver Machine hit straight back in the next one to level the scores again before finally getting their noses in front after six heats.

From that point, Oxford never looked back and also showed the tactical ride rule does not always go against you. Eastbourne introduced World Champion Nicki Pedersen as a tactical rider in the thirteenth but it did not work for them as Sebastian Ulamek and Greg Hancock relegated him to third place.

Oxford sealed victory in the fourteenth and are mighty relieved to be back in the winning groove.
