The Oxford Silver Machine missed out in a thrilling last heat decider at Arlington last night, but are happy to be coming home with the all important bonus point which helps them stay in the play off spots for this years Elite League title race.

Oxford led for much of the meeting, and although the Eagles drew level and then took the lead in heat six, the Silver Machine battled back and led from heat eight until a brilliant heat thirteen when the two teams drew level. The last heat was always going to be a tough call Oxford and in the end Greg Hancock just could not find a way through but with the bonus point safely in the bag there was much to smile about.

Oxford return home on Bank Holiday Monday when they entertain the Belle Vue Aces. The meeting starts at twelve midday as the Aces then travel to Wolverhampton in the evening. Niels-Kristian Iversen returns for the Silver Machine and will not be an easy match as Jason Crump returns to his old stomping ground as does Joe Screen who won the Championship of Great Britain at Oxford just last month.
