The Buildbase Bees' disappointing run of away from continued at Blunsdon on Thursday as they were beaten 56-39 by a weakened Swindon side.

The Robins were without the unwell Lee Richardson and the unavailable Renat Gafurov, but the key to their success was fast starting, with most races being won and lost in the charge to the first corner.

Leigh Adams clocked up an almost effortless paid maximum for the home side whilst Sebastian Ulamek also starred against his former club.

For Bees, Chris Harris was probably the pick as he won Heat 5 as Bees briefly levelled the scores, and looked fast when chasing Adams, who he met on four occasions. Scott Nicholls won his tactical ride for double points in
Heat 9, but a potential 8-1 to Coventry was lost when the second-placed Martin Smolinski ground to a halt at the end of the first lap.

Bees now have a mountain to climb if they are to take the aggregate bonus point from Friday's return fixture at Brandon. Nicholls moves to the No.1 riding position, exchanging places with Harris, whilst Swindon will be
unchanged subject to Richardson's health.
