The Oxford Silver Machine can finally say that they have achieved their ambition of reaching the 2003 Elite League play off's after another faultless performance at Sandy Lane last night.

Watched by one of the biggest crowds of the season, the Silver Machine easily disposed of the powerful looking Aces side and had the meeting in their pocket by heat twelve. Despite reports to the contrary, it was the win last night which finally confirmed Oxford's place in the play offs and not the fact that the Belle Vue versus Wolverhampton meeting had been postponed.

Todd Wiltshire led the way with eleven points but it was a solid team performance with every one of the seven men contributing to the final total. There was also relief that Sebastian Ulamek sailed through his first meeting back after injury, scoring paid nine points.

Oxford will face the Poole Pirates in the Elite League Championship Semi Final on Monday, September 22nd, 2003 one week after they have visited them for their Knockout Cup Semi Final on Monday, September 15th, 2003. Full details of both these matches will be released shortly. Plans are also at an advanced stage for a Sponsors Gala evening for Friday, October 10th, 2003.
