The big and glam 24 Hours of Le Mans trophy is lifted into the sky by all six of the Toyota drivers plus the senior management. It's the perfect result for Toyota but not how they would imagine it would come going into the final 90 minutes.

16 June, 2019 - 14:29

The podium ceremony is now underway for the overall winners! The #7 Toyota trio look devastated having been comfortable leaders for most of that race until the final hour while the #8 crew naturally look elated. They probably can't believe their luck.

There are tears of joy in the #36 Signatech Alpine garage who will win at Le Mans for the second consecutive year and duly wrap up that world title.

16 June, 2019 - 13:56

The gap between the leaders is down to 18.5s between Nakajima and Lopez but it doesn't look enough for the #7 Toyota.

16 June, 2019 - 13:55

The on-track fights are not over just yet as the #23 Panis Barthez Competition driven by Will Stevens and the #39 Graff with Tristan Gommendy at the wheel fighting over seventh place in LMP2. Both pit together for fuel so it is a flatout fight for position over the final five minutes.

16 June, 2019 - 13:52

A late pit stop for Bergmeister, running in second place in the GTE-Am class in the #56 Team Project 1. That should secure victory for #85 Keating Motorsports.

16 June, 2019 - 13:50
16 June, 2019 - 13:45

The #8 Toyota of Nakajima leads by 24.4s from Lopez in the #7. With 15 minutes to go it would take something earth-shattering to change the result now.

16 June, 2019 - 13:42

It's all academic now but the #8 Toyota is effectively nailed on to seal the WEC world title with a commanding lead on points plus its lead on the road.

16 June, 2019 - 13:41

The #7 Toyota pits for the final time which releases the #8 back into the lead. If Toyota sticks to its plan that should be that as they said they would let the cars fight until the final pit stops.

16 June, 2019 - 13:39

In a quick recap of the action in the other classes, the #36 Signatech Alpine leads by around three minutes on the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing car.

In GTE Pro, Pier Guidi is looking to bring home the #51 AF Corse Ferrari with a 1m 03s lead on the #91 Porsche driven by Bruni.

16 June, 2019 - 13:35

The gap between Lopez and Nakajima is around 18 seconds. That won't be enough for Lopez to pit and retain the lead.
