Motorbase Performance has announced Daniel Lloyd and Aston Martin factory driver Jonny Adam are set to join the team for the upcoming Blancpain Endurance Series.

The pair will co-drive along with former British GT runner-up Ahmad Al Harthy, who competed for David Bartrum's team last season in the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3.

Adam will be able to provide the team with detailed insight into the performance of the Aston Martin machine as a contracted factory driver and Bartrum is delighted to welcome Adam back to his team after the Briton raced for Motorbase Performance in BTCC six years ago.

"We're all really looking forward to this year in the Blancpain;" said team boss Bartrum. "GT's has a become a big focal point of our business now so to have such a strong line up at the right time is crucial and I think that's what we've got this year with Ahmad, Dan and Jonny.

"Having Jonny on board this year is fantastic. He's a proven works driver and obviously knows the Aston very well but he's also familiar with the Motorbase set up from racing with us in the BTCC back in 2009.

"I've known Dan from my days watching him in the Porsche Carrera Cup and I've always thought that he's a very fine talent. Having worked with him over the past few weeks he seems a top lad and a top driver and a perfect fit for Motorbase.

"This will be Ahmad's third year with us and our second full season in the Blancpain and we're confident that with our new driver line up we're coming back to the grid stronger and wiser than last year," Bartrum added. "We have unfinished business in the Blancpain and we're all keen to get started."

The team is set to compete in the Pro-Cup in the BES championship, which begins with the opening round at Monza on 11-12 April.
