Tony Evangelou, co-driver to Anthony Tratt for the Super Cheap Auto 1000, scored his best result this season, only weeks before the Betta Electrical Sandown 500 sees the Dexion Racing pilot test his wares against some of the best touring car drivers in the world.

Three top-ten finishes out of three starts saw Evangleou secure seventh place for the round without damaging his BA Falcon.

"It's our best overall finish in a championship round, and not only that, we've come away with a straight car, unlike some of the other drivers and teams" Evangleou said.

"The team did a top job and I'm now looking forward to the last two rounds of the year at Bathurst and Phillip Island."

But before then, Evangelou will partner Anthony Tratt, driving for Toll Racing in the V8 Supercar enduro rounds this year. The team are looking for an elusive top ten finish at The Mountain, where after ten starts at Bathurst, the team are yet to taste glory.
